Peacock Bass Fly-in Cabins

Fishing Brazil Adventures, a fishing tour operator, offers you:

On arrival from foreign countries, guests travel to one of our “Six River Trains" consisting of guest cabins, various support cabins, and a shallow-draft tug boat. Our "River Trains" cruise the headwaters of small fish-filled tributaries.

Although many well-established land-based lodges are located upriver from natural barriers, they offer no mobility to seek better water levels. Areas 2 to 3 hours upriver or downriver at fixed lodges rapidly become overfished. "River Trains" however, move daily through several river segments, spending the night along Caribbean-like beaches.

Our unique mobility allows us to fish in areas above natural barriers: shallow waters, sandbars, and rapids, which prevent the passage of sport fishing yachts and commercial fishing boats. There are no crowded waters.

What you won’t find are many pesky bugs. Of the few bugs that might exist, our daily mobility eliminates any possibilities of concentration. It's a true blessing that the rivers we fish in have a high tannin concentration due to the forest’s leaf decay, and do not encourage the growth of insect eggs and larvae. Although we have never had an angler suffering from any tropical illness, there are occasional encounters with bugs. We suggest you contact your doctor regarding his or her recommendations.

"River Train" guests, at any point, can leave the River and retreat into the luxurious comfort of their elegant and roomy cabin. Cabins have private full bathrooms; and are fully carpeted, and tastefully decorated, and every detail has been carefully considered. Each "River Train" has a 12’ x 23’ dining/sitting lounge, where guests dine on linen tablecloths enjoying our chefs' four-course meals. An excellent variety of both continental and exciting regional dishes make up the week’s menu. Fresh breads and pastries are baked daily and chilled wines, ice-cold beer, soft drinks, and Brazilian-style margaritas flow freely throughout your fishing trip.

With 14 years of experience under our belt, we have overcome the biggest barrier to reaching remote areas -- the Amazon's shallow sand bars. We have gone from using the attractive, but ineffective U.S. 120HP high-speed bass boat, to our newly designed, built, and field-tested, all-welded aluminum shallow-draft tunnel boats. These boats are 20 feet long with a 40 HP outboard and all the standard bass boat features (trolling motor, high swivel seats, etc.), yet they are still sufficiently light to navigate the shallow sandbars.

Our guides are undoubtedly the best in the business. Most Amazon outfitters employ poorly-trained, unenthusiastic "boat drivers". We carefully-trained guides are hard-core sport fishermen who are intimately familiar with the complexities of Amazon angling. Many have guided us for over 15 years. With thousands of fish boat trips for clients, they'll put you onto big numbers of big fish like no one else in the Amazon. Besides that, the guides have excellent skills both with fly and baitcasting. We have a comprehensive guide training program with candidates from the local communities.

Our fishing packages are usually for 12 anglers but we also have packages for smaller groups of 8 anglers and VIP packages for 6 anglers individually accommodated in floating cabins with queen-size beds.

Our program starts on Friday when you arrive at the hotel and continues on Saturday with the departure to the cabins. Your return to Manaus is scheduled for the following Saturday. We suggest anglers schedule their arrival in Manaus in advance to avoid delays in the departure of the charter flight. To be on the safe side we strongly recommend you to arrive in Manaus on Thursdays.

On the last day return flights home should be scheduled with departure not before 15:30 hours Manaus time.
